FOOD INTOLERANCE TEST
Non-toxic reactions to food can be immune mediated (food allergy) or non-immune mediated (food intolerance). Intolerance to food may be enzymatic or pharmacological but in certain instances, it is undefined. Such reactions are independent of IgE mediation. Adverse reactions affect gastrointestinal, skin & pulmonary systems.
The food intolerance profile consists of 215 tests that identify the digestive system’s response to a particular food. This IgG-based panel test using a venous blood sample aids in knowing about foods that trigger unusual reactions in the body. It provides details about a comprehensive list of foods to be avoided. The food intolerance tests are for food items that include dairy, fish, fruits, meat, vegetables, cereals, nuts and spices. Getting to know intolerance can help one understand what can cause several issues.
